The UNESCO Chair in Open Education and Technologies for the Common Good

The Chair is dedicated to promoting open education in its many forms, including open educational practices and open educational resources.
Its’ primary aim is to think about the relationship between the many activities of open education and its relationships to the technologies that enable them. The Chair aims to promote democratic debate, research and development around the meaning of technologies from the perspective of the ‘common good’ and ‘public values’, as essential structures for the ethical development of inclusive, quality education for all.
Tel Amiel
Tel Amiel is an adjunct professor at the School of Education at the University of Brasília (Brazil) where he coordinates the UNESCO Chair in Open Education and Technologies for the Common Good.
He is Advisory Board member to the IGF/UNESCO OER Dynamic Coalition, and teaches in the Masters in Leadership in Open Education program at the University of Nova Gorica (Slovenia).
