Mpine Makoe is an Open Distance Learning Professor and the Executive Dean of the College of Education at the University of South Africa.
She is an academic and researcher at the University of South Africa (UNISA) with expertise in open education and distance learning. She is the former Commonwealth of Learning Chair in Open Education Practices/ Resources. Her work focuses on improving access to education through the use of digital platforms and OERs. Makoe advocates for inclusive learning environments that cater to the needs of learners from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
